Dressage Horse as Christmas Tree
This video of a horse and rider performing advanced dressage movements is… illuminating.
“Habits de Lumière” translates to “Clothes of Light,” but beyond that we’re not entirely sure what’s going on. Definitely an “Electric Cowboy” joke in there somewhere. And I think we can all agree that this is the most tolerant horse ever.
Habits de Lumière …

Video: What a Relaxing (& Flatulent) Afternoon
Sometimes, you just have to stretch out in the sun and let loose…
Videos of horses peacefully snoring are soothing and adorable. Videos of horses peacefully snoring and farting are soothing and hilarious. Woodloch Stable’s lesson horses sure know how to get some R&R, and I was able to snatch a quick video of them napping before the silence was broken by a mild nor’wester from our flatulent Morab, Mex: (note — must be logged in to Facebook to view).
I think the schoolies partied too hard last night…

When life gets hectic and you feel like you can’t catch a break, just remember that if these hard-working horses can find the time to relax and enjoy the sunshine, so can you.

FEI Behind the Scenes: Nations Cup Photoshoot
The FEI ‘Behind the Scenes’ series by talented videographer Julien Guntz continues: even the best riders in the world can’t resist the opportunity to get a little silly in front of the camera.
Just a Dad, a Mule & Some Chicken Wings
Nothing to see here, folks.
You may have seen this video of a man and his mule eating lunch around the dining room table together floating around Facebook. Yes, you read that correctly. The mule is inside the house, calmly eating his grain like a prim and proper member of society.
Perhaps the best part is that, upon discovering her father, the young woman filming the video is upset that her dad is breaking his diet by eating too many chicken wings and seems to ignore the fact that her mule is standing in her house. Dad’s excuse for bringing “Christmas” into the house? He wanted some company.
Here’s to the dads that love our four legged pals just as much as we do!

Video: Human Steeplechasers Bite the Dust
Watch this crew try to tackle this series of steeplechase jumps in slo-mo, fueled by the thrill of the sport (and probably a lot of alcohol.)
3… 2… 1… Wipe Out!
“I totally meant to do that.”
We all love it when we catch our horses’ less-than-glamorous moments on camera. This video from Ester Jamison is a perfect example of a horse who “totally meant to do that” as he made his way casually to the gate. (Note: you must be logged in to Facebook to view this video)
So normally Tucker runs to the gate and I wanted to get it on video. Well today I got this instead lol!
