5 Free Horses Searching for Forever Homes
All around the nation horses are in search of safe, loving homes. Here are five available today.
This is your friendly Horse Nation reminder that our website only relists horses offered for free. Each seller/buyer should do their own research and remember horses are a huge responsibility.
Twice Bella – Massachusetts
“Twice Bella is a kind hearted TB mare. Bella cannot be ridden or worked, and would do best as a pasture pal for another horse. She stands well for baths, the vet/farrier, and grooming. She is currently barefoot and is typically outside 24/7 spring-fall, going inside at night during the winter months. Bella sustained an injury to her hock a number of years ago, causing her to be retired. Since then she has served as a companion for our other horses and has had one foal. Please email [email protected] with any questions or for more photos.”
Jack – Pennsylvania
“Jack is the sweetest most gentle gelding. Has excellent bloodlines and was intended to be a race horse. Sadly he was diagnosed with mild wobblers so he is not suitable for riding. He should live a happy life for many years and is gorgeous. He gets along with other geldings and mares perfectly. Very sweet to people too! Free, free, free as he cannot stay at our training barn.”
Chance – Florida
“Chance is a beautiful 16.2 hand Chestnut Thoroughbred who is 17 years young and sadly I must give him up. I have owned Chance since he was 4 and my life has forever been enriched by having him in it. He loves people and has the goofiest/sweet personality mixed with a cute walk/trot/canter in the riding ring. He loves attention, exercise, and of course peppermints.”
OTTB Mare – Massachusetts
“8yr old 16 1h dark bay TB mare. Off the track since 2010 has had letdown time and a lot of groundwork basics but very little under saddle work so would need to be restarted under saddle not for beginners as a riding horse Blind in 1 eye has been that way for life so she is well adapted and not spooky Nicely built athletic and a exquisite mover with clean legs and no health issues Would make a good companion or broodmare now gets along well with others can live out or in and isn’t a very hard keeper or a riding horse with training. Owners have new baby and no time to continue her training. Located in Rehoboth MA. Free to good home references will be checked Email [email protected].”
Czarsa – New York
“Czarsa is looking for her forever home! 11 yr old mare, easy keeper, gets along with geldings and mares, can no longer be ridden due to kissing spine. Call 914-666-2607 for more info.”
