There’s no doubt that Marilyn Little has become a household name in eventing over the past few years, with her 2015 accolades including a win at Bromont as well as double-medaling at the Pan-Am Games. But Little made headlines this past weekend at Ocala’s Live Oak International with two big wins, reminding us all that she does in fact have a history with the Grand Prix arena.

In fact, Little rode the jumpers until 2010, when she switched to eventing. “Anytime you’re entering another world or learning another sport or language, the best way to do it is full immersion program. The goals that I had in eventing, there was really no other way to do it other than to completely immerse yourself and put everything, your whole heart and whole head, into it and that has been a focus for five or six years now,” Little stated according to an FEI press release.

Marilyn Little and Corona won Friday’s Live Oak International CSI3* and then came back the next day to win the FEI Longines North American Qualifier. While she started the World Cup series a little too late to qualify for this season’s final, Little notes that it may be a goal after 2016 Olympics — right now, the main goal for Marilyn Little and her team is to prepare her top-level eventer RF Demeter with Rio goals.

Watch Little and Corona 93’s winning round from the North American Qualifier, as well as a post-ride interview:

We love seeing equestrians nailing it in multiple disciplines. Said Little: “I think eventing makes me sharper (for show jumping), and there are things that I feel that I do better than I did before I evented, and I wouldn’t trade those things for anything. And I think that being here in the show jumping ring will help me stay sharp for what I hope is coming in the eventing arena.”

Go Marilyn Little, and go riding!
