Video: Tarps, Spiders, and Smoke Machines, Oh My!

The American Horsemen Challenge National Finals are no joke.

The American Horsemen Challenge Association hosts fun, family-friendly obstacle course events to test the versatility and skills of horses and riders in all disciplines. Watch Dannah Westbrook and Lazy J Star Witness tackle the final round at the 2015 National Finals (note: must be logged in to Facebook to view):

I’m pretty sure that your average everyday horse would lose its marbles as soon as it saw those wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tube men, let alone the gigantic spider jump. Dannah and Lazy J Star Witness kept their cool throughout their ride, and conquered many horse-eating monsters (check out some very patient and tactful horsemanship at the 3:45 mark, when the pair faced off with a fake – but terrifying nonetheless – giant bull). They ended up taking home the championship in the English division at the National Finals. Congratulations on a well-ridden round!
