Leonidas – Texas
Leonidas “Leo”, is 13 year old, 15.2hh tall, Warmblood cross gelding.
He is a sweetheart on the ground and is trying very hard to please. Leo has had some bad experiences in the past which has stalled his progression but he is back on track now and has great potential. He’s definitely used to tack, and we know that he has been ridden in the past. Due to his bad experiences we took him back to basics and we’re slowly bringing him back into work with lots of positive ground work and lunging. He lunges well both on a line an in the round pen. He will lunge well over ground poles. We recently free-jumped him; he jumps in good form, is scopey and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Leo will need an experienced rider/handler, who can give positive reinforcement to keep him on the right path. Leo will be best suited for an English discipline. His adoption fee is $350.
Connecticut – Colorado
Available at Harmony Equine Center
Hi everyone. I am a lovely, dainty Arabian mare. True to my breed, I am also a sensitive and highly intelligent little lady. The cowboys around here have noticed that I much prefer meandering the trails to riding in the indoor arena (a steed of my intellectual refinement finds going in endless circles to be quite pointless). I cannot fathom why all the silly quarter horses around here delight in that drill. Puh-lease. The belief around here is that I’d be an excellent endurance trail riding prospect: I’m naturallycurious, I love being outside, I adore having a job, and as a classic Arabian, I was made to go. I’ve had lots of practice under saddle and am a quick study, but I can be a smidge skittish, so I’d fare well with a patient and experienced hand. Inclined to have a lengthy adventure exploring the great outdoors? I’m your gal. The vitals: I’m 5 years old, 13.3 hands, vaccinated, dewormed, up to date with dental and farrier work.
Cael – Pennsylvania
Available at Omega Horse Rescue
Cael was rescued last fall from slaughter. She could barely walk. We took her to New Bolton for an evaluation and it was found that she had a serious foot abscess. After rehab at Omega, she was recently taken back to New Bolton for a follow up. Examination and X-rays of her foot look good. Bloodwork looked great, she was scoped, looks good, she was given a clean bill of health and comments were made what a nice mare she was during her stay.
The photos taken of her under saddle are recent. She had been out of work since last fall. We think she also rides western and more than likely has been ridden on trails. Cael is low man in the pasture, she gets along great with everyone and is an easy keeper. She will need front shoes as a requirement of her adoption.
Gelding & Mare – Wisconsin

Owner must part with this grade chestnut quarter horse mare and grade bay arab gelding. THEY BOTH MUST GO AS A PAIR. Both have no health issues and although haven’t been ridden in a few years are sound to ride. The gelding has extensive showing experience, clips, baths, loads, etc and would make a perfect 4-H project. The mare has a sweet personality and extensive experience as a trail horse but needs work with clippers. She does bath and load.
Gelding is 19yo, 15.1hh
Mare is 20yo 14.3hh
Both stand very nicely for farrier.
Freckles – South Carolina
Freckles is an older mare (around 25 years old) who is very sweet, easy to catch, and likes to be groomed. Despite her age, she still enjoys light riding and is very easy to ride. She still has a lot of “go” and will move right into a lope when asked. She doesn’t run away, but she is easy for young kids to get going. She was last leased by an 8 year old little girl who did great riding her. Freckles does require supplemental feeding to maintain weight – she needs alfalfa or similar hay in the winter as well as some daily grain. Freckles is fairly sound – she does fine with light riders on fairly short rides and the 8 year old who had her was “running” barrels on her (ie trot around the barrels and a little lope between barrels). On longer rides or with a heavier rider she does get sore, so she is not a horse to take on day long trail rides. Freckles is available for lifelong free lease at your farm or a $250/month lease at our farm (Townville, SC). The lease at our farm includes all her feed and care as well as her vet care. For the free lease at your farm, you will be responsible for all her care.
