Horsenista: Summer Shopping Must-Haves
‘Tis the season for shopping!
…but let’s be honest: for Horsenista, shopping season is 12 months a year.
Let’s start with jewelry, because I’ve found a company that could change equestrian special occasions forever. Loriece Boatright began her career as a designer and goldsmith over 25 years ago. Her passion for horses quickly expressed itself through the design of innovative equine jewelry. The pieces are available in Sterling Silver, or 14 carat white or yellow Gold. They can also do Platinum or 18 carat Gold. Where diamonds and gemstones are used, you’re able to specify the type of stones you’d like. Check out some of their designs.
If you’re more into functional jewelry, check out this watch by Zazzle.
Let’s move on to home decor. For the kitchen table I’m going to send you directly to Horse and Hound Gallery, where you will find this charming flatware featuring a saddle leather and stirrup.
Coordinate your flatware with snaffle bit napkin rings, tall boot salt and pepper shakers, a stirrup ice bucket and equestrian cheese picks.
For the bedroom, options tend to be limited to neon colored kid prints, which is fine if that’s what you’re in to. But if you are looking for a more subtle look and you’re handy with a needle and thread, you can find a tutorial to make curtains and a duvet cover at Design Sponge. Check out this Ralph Lauren Home fabric and Ferry Meadows Scenic Woodland by Kravet.
Brick House Fabrics also has an amazing collection. I’m in love with this lime green toile.
I also love this French Script Racing fabric.
All you need now are the finishing details. I adore these pillows by Yves Delorma.
And this Jumping Horse Wall Art … ridiculously awesome.
