Class of 2015’s Equine Yearbook
If horses had a yearbook …
Remember the class yearbook with the be-all end-all list of senior superlatives? The student body would vote on “best dressed,” “most likely to succeed,” “most likely to sleep through class,” and so on. If the equine stars of the 2014-2015 year had a yearbook of their own, this is what it might look like.
Most Popular
fischerRoscana FST (pictured with Michael Jung on their way to victory in Rolex 2015.) So talented, so athletic, and all the boys want her.
Most Likely to Succeed
Trading Aces (pictured with by Boyd Martin in his eventing days) Now ridden by Alexandra Pielet in equitation and jumpers, Trading Aces is talented and adaptable to multiple disciplines. This horse can find his niche almost anywhere.
Most Changed Since Grade School
American Pharoah (pictured in the victory circle after winning the 2015 Preakness Stakes.) Looking at this suave, handsome colt now who just happens to be our most recent Triple Crown winner, you wouldn’t guess that his first race ever was a hot, hot mess.
Best Hair
Custom Cash Advance (pictured with by Andrea Fappani for Team USA at the 2014 WEG.) This horse’s mane hangs down to his knees, and does that perfect “maybe-it’s-Neighbelline” flutter whenever he stops.
Most Unique
Cortes ‘C’ (pictured with by Beezie Madden in Chantilly in the 2013 Longines Global Champions Tour.) Those forelegs. Enough said.
Most Dependable
IRA Top Gunner (pictured with Dan James at the 2015 Kentucky Reining Cup.) Nearly lost your leg after a training accident but still want to ride bareback and brideless? IRA Top Gunner is your man.
Best Dancer
Valegro (pictured with Charlotte Dujardin at the 2014 WEG.) Numerous world records and various accolades aside, boy knows how to break it down.
Mr. Congeniality
Rothchild (pictured with by McLain Ward in the Global Champions Tour, Antwerp leg.) Really, his face says it all.
Congratulations to the class of 2015! Go riding!
