Charlie — Illinois
“Charlie is a good-looking, highly educated, 17 hand, 12 year old registered (branded but no papers) Oldenburg gelding. He spent the early years of his career doing the 4 foot jumpers but has since developed arthritis in his knees and has transitioned to an easier life. Charlie will walk, trot and canter collected and balanced but his arthritis prevents him from being sound all of the time. Therefore, he is not for sale as a guaranteed riding horse. We are looking for a home for Charlie where he will have 24 hour turn-out, which is critical to keeping him comfortable. With his handsome looks he will compliment any pasture and will happily go on occasional hacks. He is a very cool horse, who enjoys having his own person to love, sucking on peppermints, and being a goofball with friends in the pasture.”
Fancy — Missouri
“Fancy – 1993 American Saddle/Paint mix. I no longer ride, she needs a good home.”
Zadarmo — Maryland
“Zadarmo is a 5 yr old bay thoroughbred mare standing 15.2 hh. Zadarmo is sound and unraced by her owner/breeder who decided she was not going to be fast enough for the racetrack. She is now looking for a new home as a riding horse. Zadarmo would be suited for any discipline, hunters, jumpers, eventing. She is a kind, good natured mare looking for a someone who wants a project all their own. She does crib. Free to a good home.”
Judge — Ohio
“Judge is a 31 yr. old Morgan gelding he was a show horse in his career days, he does have Cushing Disease and does require daily medication call Prasend 1 mg once a day. He is very sweet and quiet, does well for vet and farrier best suited as a pasture pet. He also requires soaked hay cubes due to lack of molars and senior feed. if interested in fostering Judge or Adopting contact Voice For Horses Rescue Network located in Toledo, Ohio. FREE to APPROVED HOME”
Pegasus — California
“Pegasus, aka Peg is 14 yr. old flea bitten TB mare. I got her as a 5 year old, with a jumping prospect in mind. When she was 7, she had an accident with the farrier- his box cut and sliced her superficial and deep flexor tendon on her back right. I have since used her as a pasture companion to my other horses. She has lots of personality, loves to be groomed and bathed. I have a 17 month daughter and a 3.5 month baby! I need to downsize and am looking for a forever home for Peg- someone who needs a pasture mate for their horse. Adoption fee waived to forever home.”
