‘Oh Crap’ Monday, Presented by Bimeda
Monday is the crappiest day of the week so it only makes sense that we make things official! Here’s our latest batch of reader-submitted “Oh Crap” photos and videos.
Erin Gindlesperger: “Here is me and my horse Lucy attempting the jumper ring. She had just figured out her lead changes, which she interpreted as bucking and swapping about every other stride. Great sight for onlookers, not so much for me trying to steer to that green oxer in the jump off! Eventually she (mostly) got over this habit!)”
Samantha Brown: “This is my good friend and teammate Laina on her horse Foxy. Typically they’re an amazing team, but obviously they got their timing a little off learning to jump 2’6! Foxy is a saint and didn’t knock down a rail. Once they landed Laina was back in the saddle and they finished the line with ease!”
Jocelyn Kline: “This was at an event at Loch Moy. The jump was only 2’3″ and this pony can go training level. A few days before, we were jumping training without a problem, but when we get here, he decides that holding him back from jumping flat means that he can’t jump the little fence. He is so dramatic sometimes.”
Jane Polk: “I’m blessed with a wonderfully athletic, scopey horse. Which has its perks but also its frustrations. He trusts me enough to go over it, but not enough to do it without giving the ditch monster plenty of room. Here are some pictures from our first three tries.”
Miranda Noyes: “My 4-year-old mare Just Like Heaven (Heart) and I over our first ever jump xc. She had skidded to a stop, looked, and just as I’m preparing to turn her and circle, she launches. Somehow I manage to catch up to her and we get this ‘Mare Jordan’ landing!”
Susan Kennon: “Heres an ‘Oh Crap” video for you, featuring Cinner, the sassy haffie (she even has her own Facebook page) where she unfortunately tries to help me with my video skills.”
