Wednesday Morning Feed from World Equestrian Brands
Top of the morning to you, Horse Nation! Here’s hoping all’s well where you are.
We’ve got some exciting stuff lined up for you today, including our weekly installation of one of my favorite columns, Erin McCabe’s “Wednesday Book Review.”
I don’t know about you, but for me getting lost in a good book is one of my favorite pastimes–and one that I don’t get the opportunity to indulge in frequently enough. Everything about life seems to happen so fast, with little confetti bits of information swirling around us 24/7, and our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter. Taking the time to get lost in a book, to me, can sometimes feel like an extravagant luxury, on par with a soaking in a bubble bath or a having a glass of champagne just because.
Not unlike going to the movies, reading is such a time and energy commitment. And just as I rarely go see a movie without checking Rotten Tomatoes first, if I’m going to dedicate myself to a book, I’m probably going to clear it with the New York Times Book Review first. Unfortunately, not all horse reads make it to the NYT book desk, and that’s why we’re lucky to have Erin at hand here. She vets books so you know exactly what you’re getting into, and she has a talent for recommending books that you might not otherwise know exist.
Go reading, and Go Riding.
Did you catch World Equestrian Brands with VTO Saddlery at Rolex? We did! As usual, it was easy to lust over their selection of butter-soft Vespucci bridles, ooh-la-la Amerigo saddles, plush E.A. Mattes pads and Equilibrium leg protectors. If you missed out, visit World Equestrian Brands online here to find your nearest retailer.
