‘Oh Crap’ Monday, Presented by Bimeda

Monday is the crappiest day of the week so it only makes sense that we make things official. Here’s our latest batch of reader-submitted “Oh Crap” photos — grab mane!

Jes Skudlarek: “This is me and my mom’s 22 year old Appendix doing training level eventing. He was all excited and thought it was Rolex. Silly pony.”

Nancy Adams: “This photo is from this past summer…it was the first time that my 5-year-old had done the 1-stride across the top of our bank (he’d done the ‘up’ and the ‘down’ by themselves but this was the first time we’d put them together). I was not exactly prepared for this level of enthusiasm…”

Lauren Dietrich: “I was riding Shadow, a green mare, over some low verticals. This video starts right after going over one of the jumps. She stumbled, lost all balance, and we both dove face first. She split her bottom lip, but otherwise both of us were fine.”

Meg Flach: “My gelding, Declan, practicing his one-handed karate kicks. Hi-yah!”

“Jump schooling a straight foxhunter in the arena is hardly a good idea. She jumped from a standstill and I got catapulted from the saddle. Stuck it and didn’t fall off though!”

Caroline Needham: “The old horse Breeze that I use to ride casually trotting up to a 3′ box on cross country resulting in launching me.”
