Friday Standing Ovation, Presented by Ovation Riding

This week’s honoree: Camp Casey.

Each Friday Horse Nation teams up with Ovation Riding to spotlight an individual or organization that is doing good work in the horse world. This week we salute Camp Casey, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit horseback riding program for children with cancer and their families.

Located in Royal Oak, Michigan, Camp Casey has been spreading the healing power of horses for over a decade. Its programming includes Horsey House Calls, in which horses make surprise visits to children’s homes; Cowboy Camp Outs, which provide overnight mini-vacations at dude ranch resorts; and Outlaw Outings, offering cost-free excursions across Michigan.
