Burricorn Horns, Pricklehawks & Unitails: 14 Reader-owned Horses With Burdock Hair-dos
If nothing else, burr season is proof that Mother Nature has a sense of humor.
Last week we ran a post called “Battle of the Burrs” and, as usual, a sea of readers chimed in with their own burdock horror stories, detangling strategies and — most entertaining of all — photos. Here are a few of our favorites!

Celsie Rae Abelt: “Here, we have the Majestic Burricorn. (Yes, that is her forelock sticking straight up.)”

Jessica Mastrianni: “D.I.Y. unicorn horn. All you need to do is let your horse rummage through a pasture full of burdocks.”

Rebecca Waldron: “The mare I leased not only infested her forelock, mane, and tail but also her belly, legs, and inside her ears.”
Yikes! Need help? Before you roach your horse’s mane, check out this video that reader Kristi Luepke (owner of the unitail pictured above) made for Dressage Hub:
Thanks for sharing, Kristi. Go Riding!
