Wednesday Helmet Cam from World Equestrian Brands: Calecto V’s Goodbye Gallop
Tina Konyot retired her 2014 WEG dressage mount with a gallop into the sunset on a Normandy beach.
Calecto V, a 16-year-old Danish stallion, has enjoyed a prolific last four years with Team USA, competing at WEG 2010, the 2012 Olympics and finally WEG 2016.
Tina wrote on her Facebook page last week: “Thank you Calecto for the greatest journey of a lifetime… Thank you USA!!!! Calecto says, ‘Goodbye dressage world.'”
What better way to say goodbye to France, and a successful international career, than to take a nice gallop on the beach? The pair headed to picturesque Deauville Beach for a final outing before heading back to their home country.
I don’t know about you, but I could literally listen to this horse’s rhythmical hoof beats all day long. It’s so soothing — can we get that put on a white noise track, please?
