Germany’s Daniel Deusser Is Your FEI Longines World Cup Jumping Champion
Thirty-two-year old Daniel Deusser of Germany won the 2014 Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final in Lyon, France! Celebration ensues.
Riding the 11-year-old stallion Cornet d’Amour, Deusser bested teammates Ludger Beerbaum and Marcus Ehning, as well as World Number One Scott Brash of Great Britain, in the nail-biting finale. Beerbaum, Ehning, and Brash all posted double clear efforts in the third and final leg of the Championship. With Deusser the last to go, the pressure was on. AND HE DELIVERED WITH A CLUTCH CLEAR.
Followed immediately by enthusiastic fist pumping.
It was glorious. Here is the FEI’s recap of the spectacular final.
And here is Deusser embracing his inner pony child on another horse over a slightly less challenging course. Bareback. With fellow Stephex Stable rider Eiken Sato riding double.
Go Germany!
