From Lindsay Rausch:
12 Days of a Horse Nation Christmas
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
And a horsey place for the world to share
Lindsay Rausch learned to ride at a young age from her mom who had been a trainer and horsemanship instructor in a previous life. Lindsay has always been a western trail rider, and even though she has not owned a horse of her own she has always looked for any chance to get a leg in the saddle. She is currently setting up a 10-acre farm for cattle and horses.
From Karlie Mitchell:
A Horse Person’s Christmas
Christmas is a special time of year to share with our equine partners. Here is an overview of horse people activities during Christmas:
-Taking pictures of your horse in reindeer antlers
-Buying your horses Christmas gifts
-Wrapping your horse’s Christmas gifts
-Setting up their stockings so they can get a visit from Santa
-Sending out Christmas cards with your horses pictures on them
-Maybe now thinking about shopping for everyone else
-Making your wish list which consists of all horse related stuff
-Having to cut out pictures from the tack store catalogues so non horse family understands what you want
-Remembering to specify to family what colours your horse and you like
-Baking your horse special homemade treats
-Ditching your family to go show your horses what you got them for Christmas
-Trying out all your new horse related gifts after Christmas dinner
-Going to the tack store boxing day then rushing to the barn to try out more new stuff
About Karlie: I am from Alberta, Canada and live on a farm with my equine crew (a Paint, QHx Arab, and two OTTBs). I mainly do English and jumping, but also enjoy western and trail riding. I love riding, training, learning about Equine Science related topics, and having a great time with my horses.
Thanks for sharing, guys. Happy holidays and Go Riding!
