Dressage Spooktacular: Glow-in-the-dark pas de deux
Morgane Schmidt and her trainer, Seana Adamson, painted two horses with neon paint and then rode a pas de deux under black lights. Genius!
The spectacle took place at Dressage Spooktacular, a fundraiser last weekend hosted by Victoria Myer’s Avalon Farm (Reno, Nevada) to benefit the Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary.
About 50 spectators were in attendance as Morgane of Schmidt Dressage and Seana strutted their scary stuff. Gerrit, the skeleton Friesian, and Stormy, the little paint ghost, were good sports about the unusual dressage test situation. “As we only practiced this once the night before it was a situation ripe with potential comedic inspiration,” Morgane says. “Luckily it was pretty tame (read as–‘our horses were saints.’)”
