News: ‘Miniature pony stolen from Italian horse show’

That’s the headline from a story in the New York Daily News about a two-foot tall miniature horse named Charly, who was kidnapped and may be held for ransom.

Charly vanished from the National Horse Show in Città di Castello last week. Thieves cut through a wire fence into his enclosure and escaped with him across a tobacco field before anyone realized something was wrong, police said.

“I never imagined having to write this but unfortunately it has happened and I feel empty, violated and destroyed!” wrote owner Bartolo Messina in a post on his Facebook page.
