Video du Jour: The Lamb National at Barbury
Sheep don’t only jump in your sleep. They also run in a popular exhibition race at the Barbury Castle International Horse Trials every year!
The Lamb National is a time-honored tradition at Barbury and a huge favorite with spectators. And it’s easy to see why. Tiny stuffed animals strapped to the backs of fluffy sheep as they navigate a minature steeplechase course? Yes, please!
Sheep actually jump in surprisingly good form, which I found out in my childhood when a friend who raised sheep for 4-H would jump her lambs over obstacles in her arena.
