HN’s Guide To Facebook Stalking Hot Polo Players

On Horses in the Morning today, co-host Jamie and I got to talking swooning over photos of hot polo players and she issued me a challenge: research the world’s sexiest polo players. Um, OK!

Research, however, is for real journalists. Me–I turned to Facebook.

Here are the top three hottest players I could find on the ‘Book:

Name: Nacho Figueras

Stats: Nacho has been called the “David Beckham of polo”–in addition to being a top-100 polo player, he is also the face of Ralph Lauren’s Polo fragrances. In 2009 Vanity Fair readers voted him the second most handsome man in the world, behind Robert Pattison and just ahead of Brad Pitt.

General impressions: He lists his personal interests as “Spending time with my wife and children, music, architecture, and of course, playing polo.” Wait, wait, wait… wife and children? Boo.

Name: Facundo Pieres

Stats: Son of the legendary polo player Gonzalo Pieres Sr., Facundo is currently ranked #1 in the world, having most recently won the U.S. Open Polo Championship 2012 with team Zacara.

General impressions: No cute pony photos or shout-outs to the wife here. He seems pretty interested in playing and winning polo, mostly. Lots of pictures of him riding, waving trophies around, and getting sprayed by bottles of champagne. Also, all of his posts are written in Spanish, which is hottt.

Name: Nic Roldan

Stats: Born in Buenos Aires, Nic was a professional polo player by age 14 and and went on to grow up to be a professional super-babe. He’s been named one of Vanity Fair‘s 10 Hottest Horsemen and is sponsored by luxury Swiss watchmaker Piaget. He also helped design his own saddle, the Nic Roldan Elite Saddle, and gave the Kardashian sisters a polo lesson on their reality TV show Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.

General impressions: Nic’s Facebook page is a little bit of a PR machine, mostly offering links to recent interviews and magazine spread, but the occasional smoking-hot candid photo makes it worth keeping an eye on. He also writes a blog here.
