Your Turn: The Pink 50 Poker Prance

This weekend I attended The Pink 50 Poker Prance, which was a trail ride to benefit breast cancer research. Our local feed store, Oxford Feed and Lumber, hosted the event. I went with my OTTB and two other ridiculously decorated OTTBs, and it was definitely on of the funniest things I’ve done recently, and for a great cause! One of the other cool things about the Poker Prance is your poker hand. As you ride the trail, volunteers wait at check points with a deck of cards. At each one you pick a card, and the best poker hands win Purina Feed! I doubt I won with my hand, but it was still fun.

This is a great event for a great cause, and a great excuse to dress up your horses. If you live in the Fair Hill area, be sure to come out next year!
