The biggest races in harness racing are running this Saturday in New Jersey. In his latest video, Dr. Gregory Beroza, aka HorseDoc ‘Talking Horses,’ interviews multiple hall-of-famers and Canadian Harness Racing executive Billy O’Donnell. Read on for more:

On Saturday, August 3, 2024, the $1 million Hambletonian and the $500,000 Hambeltonian Oaks will run at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This is the biggest weekend in harness racing as these are the most prestigious races in North America.

Dr. Gregory Beroza, aka HorseDoc ‘Talking Horses, has produced a unique 58-minute pre-race video, showcasing legendary Hall of Fame Driver and Hambletonian Society executive John Campbell, the extraordinary trainer of Hall of Fame Hambletonian winning racehorse and sire Muscle Hill, Gregory Peck, and Hall of Fame Driver and Canadian Harness Racing executive Billy O’Donnell for their insight and predictions.

The Hambletonian includes only eligible three-year-old trotters, all 10 of whom qualified during the year along with having attained final entry via the standard pre-Hambletonian elimination races at the Meadowlands during the previous week. The same qualification and elimination conditions apply to the Oaks, which is open only to three-year-old trotting mares, of which 10 will be in the Championship final.
