‘Oh Crap’ Monday: Mud Season Is Here

Monday already is the crappiest day of the week, so it only makes sense that we make things official. Here’s our latest “oh crap” moment.

Ah, spring. The days are getting longer. The temperature is rising. The flowers are blooming.

But also… the mud is unbearable. At least if you live in a state where it goes from snow to rain to wind to rain to snow and back again a few times every March. At my barn, mud is a never-ending battle until, like, July. Nothing is safe. Not horseshoes, not bell boots, and apparently not human shoes… or so one boarder found out over the weekend:

She was definitely thinking “Oh crap.” Don’t worry, though.  A make-shift bridge and a couple of shovels unearthed these Muck Boots. They will live to fight another day.
