‘Oh Crap’ Monday: Riding in the Ocean
Monday already is the crappiest day of the week, so it only makes sense that we make things official. Here’s our latest “oh crap” moment.
For many people, riding along the beach or in the ocean is a total bucket list ride. Between the crashing waves and the open shoreline, there’s just something about it that equestrians can’t resist… or at least can’t resist dreaming about. Truth be told, I think it’s the early images of Alec Ramsey galloping bareback on The Black in Sardinia in The Black Stallion that are burned in our brains that does it.
So, that’s the expectation, right?

Then there’s the reality.
As Instagrammer bellahorsez discovered, expectation and reality don’t always align.
If I ever have the opportunity to ride on the beach, this 100% is how I think it’ll go. Sigh. Oh well.
