Standing Ovation by Ovation Riding: Redingote Equestrian
Every week Horse Nation teams up with Ovation Riding to recognize those doing good in the horse world. This week we recognize Redingote Equestrian LLC, which is partnering with GallopNYC to keep its team outfitted in the colder months.

Although many of us in northern hemisphere are sweltering in the summer heat, we still know that winter is coming. For those in the southern hemisphere, winter arrived long ago. And that means riding and working with horses in cold and wet weather. For workers and volunteers who are involved with organizations such as GallopNYC, being properly outfitted is integral to keep them at the barn and doing what they do best — making sure riders who utilize their therapeutic riding center can continue to ride.

Redingote Equestrian LLC knows this and has partnered with GallopNYC to keep its team of workers and volunteers outfitted in the colder months.
Redingote is a New York-based equestrian lifestyle brand that creates innovative riding apparel for women. The business started in 2018 and is known for a one-piece insulated outerwear design that keeps riders warm, dry and clean in all weather and circumstances. It’s comfortable and flattering, can be pulled on and off over riding boots, and offers storage options for personal items and riding equipment. Redingote is launching a new rain one-piece in 2020 that packs all the same features (plus some new ones!) without the insulation.

Redingote was founded by Connie DeMaio and Allison Malenfant, both riders. Connie is a lifelong horsewoman, while Allison comes from a fashion career at SoulCycle. Both women recognized the need for a single, highly functional outerwear piece that does everything riders need it to do. When they couldn’t find what they were looking for, they decided to make it themselves, knowing that they weren’t alone. Today, devotees of the brand include riders of nearly every discipline ranging from Olympians to weekend warriors.

Redingote is thrilled to announce a new partnership program with GallopNYC. GallopNYC offers both horseback riding and therapeutic horsemanship programs to New Yorkers, particularly riders with disabilities, veterans, seniors and at-risk youth. The organization’s mission is to change the lives of New Yorkers by exposing them to horses’ grace, patience, gentleness and empathy.

As a brand, Redingote deeply values community support and involvement, so working with GallopNYC was a natural step. Redingote will outfit GallopNYC’s team of workers and volunteers with winter outerwear, enabling them to carry out their wonderful mission more comfortably in New York’s cold climate. Redingote looks forward to helping keep Gallop NYC prepared for their work in the future as the business and product line grow.
