Performance of the Week: Boyd Exell
I mean, at this point, is anyone surprised?
While most of us were relaxing at home in that dozy week between Christmas and New Year’s, maybe going for a lazy hack but more realistically enjoying another few Christmas cookies in quiet protest of your New Year’s fitness and diet plans, the indoor drivers of the world were literally tearing it up at Mechelen in Belgium.
That’s the only way we can appropriately describe the kind of controlled slide going on in those corners, as a galloping four-in-hand gives it everything they’ve got and the navigators lean hard into the turn, dirt spraying from the tires.
In a truly inspiring performance, Boyd Exell of Australia made a few critical errors and STILL beat the field by a margin of seconds. Watch highlights here:
