My big strategy for keeping cool involves this quarry, which is conveniently located about 10 minutes from the barn. It's crystal clear and ice cold, rendering it the perfect on-the-way-home pit stop for a hot, sweaty rider.
This scares me A LITTLE (a copperhead swam past my barn buddy Kaitlyn yesterday), but not enough to keep me on the shore.
