‘Oh Crap’ Monday

Monday is already the crappiest day of the week, so it only makes sense that we make things official.

Equestrians are known for their grace and poise… and their ability to get themselves out of certain sticky situations. If I can have HALF the stickability of this jockey, then I will be happy.

It started as a normal race day at the Clonmel Racecourse but things quickly got a bit hairy when the jockey in the blue and white silks on the number 6 horse came out of the tack over one of the obstacles on the Clonmel Racecourse steeplechasing track. Coming off in the arena is scary, but coming off on a track full of thundering hooves definitely takes the cake.

But this jockey wasn’t going to greet the ground today: thanks to some monkey-like effort on his part and a great show of sportsmanship from his competitors, the jock was able to struggle his way back into the saddle and continue on.

Oh, and he still managed to win.
