Friday Morning Feed from Ovation

Good morning Horse Nation! Sing it with me now: TGIF!! TGIF!!

You know what’s funny about horse people, though, don’t you? Do you think we sleep in on the weekends? Nah. We’ve got better things to do, like catch up on our weed-eating or get up at 4 a.m. to go to a horse show.

Right now, for instance, I’m freaking exhausted. I’ve been getting up every morning before the sun and getting home after dark. Sleeping in would be a good, healthy, well-deserved weekend activity. But what am I doing instead? I’m heading out of town this afternoon to Tryon, NC, to have boot camp with the jump trainer. Then I’m cross-country schooling tomorrow, driving home and getting up at the crack of dawn on Sunday to go to a jumper show. And then it will be Monday, and I’ll still be freaking exhausted, but at least my horse and I will be a little better schooled. Such is the life of horsepeople.

And that’s why I’m sending this one goes out to you, Horse Nation:

We can’t slow down,
