Best of Craigslist, Volume 53
Just when you’re sure you’ve seen it all, Craigslist just keeps on keeping on.
Every time we start thinking perhaps the good horse sellers of Craigslist are finally getting wise with regards to vocabulary, grammar, spelling, weird photos and all those other giggle-worthy details that make Best of Craigslist the masterpiece it is, our readers turn up more terrible ads. Here are this week’s finds.

From Jane: “Craigslist gold.” This whole domestic zebra/zorse/zedonk trend can end any time, thanks.
Female donkey and female haflinger for sale. Both have been exposed to my zebra stud. No guarantees on pregnancy but they have both been running with him.
Donkey:
Age unknown. Very friendly and easy to halter and lead. I’ve watched the zebra mount her multiple times. $500
Horse:
Approximately 5-6 years old. Previously ridden but hasn’t been in awhile. $1,200
This ad is a mystery to us: the seller is horse-savvy enough to know about leg pressure and leads… but “doesn’t do hands.” Submitted by Rachel:
10 yr. old, average height (I don’t do hands), mostly white, paint mare for sale. Responds well to leg pressure, usually picks up correct lead, and loves to run. Fun to ride but tends to pull a bit on the bit (no pun intended). I’ve had a ball with her but I’m going back to golf.
Don’t forget: while it’s always fun to giggle at classically atrocious spelling and ridiculous photos, we also remind readers that sometimes Best of Craigslist can lead to fairytale endings as well!
Readers, if you run across an “interesting” ad in your Internet wanderings, send it our way! Email the link to [email protected]. Who knows – maybe you’ll help connect a horse with a safe, loving home. Go Riding.
