SpectraVET Perf. of the Week: Valegro’s New Freestyle

Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro certainly look ready for Rio. The pair debuted their new freestyle routine last weekend at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage!

New Olympics, new freestyle: so seemed to be the mantra of Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro, global fan favorites and record holders. While I’ve got to admit that I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for the How to Train Your Dragon routine from years past (movie scores, man, they get me going every time), I’m also happy to see this pair busting out something new just in time for the 2016 Olympics. Gotta stay fresh, right?

This new freestyle features a very Rio-esque beat throughout — watch Dujardin and Valegro lock down the win by a huge margin in the Grand Prix Freestyle at Hartpury, marking a cool 90.63%.

As always, this pair is perfection. While everyone has their favorite pair they’ll be rooting for this summer in Rio, I think it’s safe to say that Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro have almost global appeal.
