Amanda Uechi Ronan reviews this unique new wireless speaker for the saddle — and gives us the scoop on how you can win one of your own!

Fascinated with horses since before she could walk and competing and riding for the last 35 years, Hoofbeatz Audio founder and creator Leah Lane understands the demands of various types of riding. While spending time in the saddle, Leah found she needed her smartphone to perform numerous features. Setting a warm-up timer, listening to training tips on podcast or a playlist to buffer horse or rider anxiety — there was just no way to safely ride and remain focused on her horses. That’s how the durable, hands-free smartphone integrated Bluetooth speaker was born.
Designed by an equestrian for all equestrians, i Rock N Ride makes staying connected while riding easier and safer. Riders can send or receive phone calls and texts, ride to music and use Siri and Android voice prompts. Instructors can setup a conference call line, which gives an unlimited number of riders the ability to “call in” from their i Rock N Ride and hear the instructor from anywhere with a cell phone signal.
The rechargeable system is durable, as well as dust and moisture resistant. The speaker attaches virtually anywhere with the patent pending design. The unique “moon shape” allows the i Rock N Ride to sit comfortably on the withers in front of an English saddle and wrap around the horn, latigo keeper or swell of a Western saddle.
