Tuesday Video: Myofascial Release Exercises
Enjoy these myofascial release exercises presented to you by @advantagehorsemanship!
Myofascial release (MFR) is a soft tissue therapy that aims to relieve pain, improve range of motion, and restore muscle function. It relieves pain by reducing tension and knots in the fascia, improving blood flow and oxygenation to the affected area, and releasing trigger points, or painful spots in muscles. It can increase range of motion by breaking down adhesions and restrictions in the fascia and reducing stiffness and tightness, thereby improving flexibility and mobility. It restores muscle function by helping to properly align and lengthen the muscles, improving neuromuscular coordination, and generally enhancing athletic performance. Other benefits include reduced stress and anxiety, improved relaxation, improved sleep quality, and enhanced overall body awareness.
All of these attributes can greatly help your horse. Fortunately, there are myofascial relief exercises you can do at home to help your horse. @advantagehorsemanship offers you these three myofascial release exercises that can be done easily and quickly before saddling up and riding.
Check out the exercises in this video so you can relax your horse’s muscles and nerves!
