5 MORE Things that Would Be On Your Horse’s Back-To-School List
We all know our horse has its shopping lists ready to go. We just hope that a visit to the vet hasn’t made the list!
It’s that time of year. Places like Target, Walmart, and Staples are vibrating with school-aged children rushing through the aisles looking for that perfect pencil pouch — and with exhausted parents wearing looks that can only be described as “why didn’t I order this on Amazon weeks ago?”
Busses a revving their diesel engines and making stops through neighborhoods earlier than we remember.
Parents everywhere are looking forward to the quiet hours between 9 AM and 3 PM when they can finally catch up on all that laundry (but they won’t; if they’re anything like me, they’ll revel in the silence and enjoy their coffee before heading out to the barn).
In honor of back-to-school season, last week we reshared one of our classic articles that lists things that would be on your horse’s back-to-school list. However, we also took to Facebook to ask what else would be on your horse’s list. So, here are five more things that would be on your horse’s list if he were a student:
1. Carrots
Because, of course your horse wants carrots. What else?
2. High Quality Alfalfa
Heck, I think most horse owners want this. And more of it. Does it sell on Amazon? Hmmm…
3. A Huge Lunch Box for Her Hay and Treats
Is there a lunch box big enough for as much hay and treats as some of our horses want?
4. “A princess lunch box, a pink neck fan, the latest fashions and the trailer would have to be clean for her to be seen in it.”
We won’t lie, this might be one of our favorites. After all, we can appreciate a mare who knows what she wants.
5. A Hall Pass…
To get out of all forms of work at all times.
