Team USA won Silver in Equestrian Jumping with the Individual Finals yet to unfold. Dr. Gregory Beroza, aka HORSEDOC®, gathered three informative interviews with experts, including Hall of Fame Olympiad Joe Fargis.
The 2024 Paris Olympics are one of the most spectacular equestrian productions in modern history. The Versailles Gardens are as glamorous as they are iconic. The French added their artistic attention to detail and the Americans entered one of their most talented Olympic Jumping Teams. The original Team USA was composed of former Olympic medalists McLain Ward riding Ilex, Laura Kraut riding Baloutinue and Kent Farrington on Greya. The highly qualified alternate is Karl Cook, riding Caracole de la Roque.
Karl Cook was summoned to substitute for Kent Farrington, whose horse Greya was reported to have had an allergic reaction. Ward, Kraut and Cook rode in the individual competitions, with Cook and Kraut advancing to the finals on August 6th.
