‘Oh Crap’ Monday: Making Things Harder Than Necessary

Sometimes you don’t want to work so badly that you create twice the work for yourself simply by trying to avoid work.

And horses are no different. Anyone who has ever worked with a horse who doesn’t want to do something knows that they will try anything to get out of doing a task they don’t want to do — even when it means creating 10 times more work for themselves than necessary. As a rider, these moments certainly make me go, “Oh crap.” I likely would be thinking the same thing as I watched this two-year-old give itself an extra work out.
