Friday Feels: Zenyatta and Her Candy Ride Filly

This video of Queen Z and her filly by Candy Ride will give you the warm fuzzies.

It’s been over 10 years since Zenyatta ran her final race. The inspiring mare had 19 undefeated races before finally losing by a neck to Blame in the 2010 Breeder’s Cup Classic. Since then, she has been retired at Lane’s End Farm.

This year she gave birth to a filly by Candy Ride. Her handlers report that, just like her mom, the filly knows she’s something special. Like many Candy Ride foals, she’s very correct with excellent conformation. She loves to be groomed on and knows when the camera is on her.
