Standing Ovation by Ovation Riding: American Horse Council
A COVID-19 Resource Center
Every week Horse Nation teams up with Ovation Riding to recognize those doing good in the horse world. This week we recognize the American Horse Council, which has developed a COVID-19 Resource Center.
As we grapple with COVID-19 and how the corresponding restrictions affect our sense of normalcy, our finances and, well, everything, it is reassuring to see organizations working hard to provide us with reliable information. The American Horse Council (AHC) is one of those organizations.
In response to the hardships and challenges created by the pandemic, the American Horse Council has developed a COVID-19 Resource Center on its website to address human health, horse health and business health. This is especially helpful as horse owners try to figure out not only how to take care of ourselves, but also our horses.
Right now, the Resource Center contains articles and news, and they hope eventually YouTube videos and other content, to help horse owners, equine non-profits, equine businesses and equine industry employees. Simply go to www.horsecouncil.org and click on COVID-19 Resources and it will direct you to the Center.
Since our responses to COVID-19 are continuously evolving, the AHC is taking suggestions for content to add to their Resource Center. If you have content you’d like us to consider adding, send it to [email protected]. Likewise, if you have suggestions for content, information you are looking for, or other helpful ideas, you can drop them a note and they’ll try to find and share answers.
About the American Horse Council
As the national association representing all segments of the horse industry in Washington, D.C., the American Horse Council works daily to represent equine interests and opportunities. Organized in 1969, the AHC promotes and protects the industry by communicating with Congress, federal agencies, the media and the industry on behalf of all horse related interests each and every day. The AHC is member supported by individuals and organizations representing virtually every facet of the horse world from owners, breeders, veterinarians, farriers, breed registries and horsemen’s associations to horse shows, race tracks, rodeos, commercial suppliers and state horse councils.
Many thanks thanks to Ovation Riding for their support of both Horse Nation and individuals and organizations that are doing good work in the horse world. If you know someone who deserves a Standing Ovation, we would love to recognize them in a future post. Email the name of the person or organization along with a message about the good work they do to [email protected]. Photos/videos are always welcome, and include a link to their website if applicable.
