Performances of the Week: IHSA Nationals

The Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association National Championships crowned two champions last week: watch the winning performances from Adam Edgar and Julia Roshelli!

The Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) National Championships took place last week in Syracuse, New York, featuring the best teams and individuals in intercollegiate equestrian sports in both hunt seat equitation and western horsemanship/reining. Riders qualified for Nationals through Regional and Zone or Semi-Final competition, ensuring that the Nationals is a true meeting of champions.

In IHSA format, riders draw onto their horses and don’t get any prep time to feel their mount before entering the show ring — it’s a true catch ride test. That makes these winning individual performances that much more impressive!

Adam Edgar won the Cacchione Cup for high point hunt seat individual rider; he rides for Savannah College of Art and Design.

Julia Roshelli won the AQHA High Point Rider title in the western disciplines for her combined efforts in horsemanship and reining; Roshelli rides for University of Findlay.

Congratulations to all Nationals winners!

Go riding.
