Never thrown a leg over a Grand Prix horse? Here’s your chance.

When people think of helmet cam videos, they generally think of capturing the thrill of an adrenaline-pumping activity like galloping cross-country or charging at your enemy in a jousting match. The discipline of dressage (my favorite discipline, by the way), a discipline spectators often compare to watching paint dry, is generally not what comes to mind. If you know what it feels like to experience that sublime combination of power and control, however, watching dressage can be completely exhilarating.

Though I have been lucky enough to ride a few really well educated dressage horses in my life, the ones I get to ride regularly top out around second level. The magic of the Grand Prix movements are but a daydream–for now at least.
