Monday is already the crappiest day of the week, so it only makes sense that we make things official! Here’s our latest “oh crap” video — kangaroo near-miss edition.

If this isn’t the most Australia thing you’ve ever seen…

Fortunately this mob of roos (yep, that’s the correct term — a “mob”) went bounding by well outside the racetrack at Hanging Rock, but errant mobs have actually forced the cancellation of races in Australia in the past. Believe it or not, it is actually someone’s job to ride out on a pony and scare these buggers away ahead of post time to avoid such catastrophe happening again. (By “someone” I mean “kid with a dream job,” truthfully.)

Galloping a racehorse is hard enough without getting smacked by an equally fast-moving roo. We’re glad this was simply a drive-by.
