You know what’s lost these days in horse trading? Some good old-fashioned honesty.

The internet is a great place to share information, and it’s increasingly a great place to trade horses — with a few clicks, you can stay connected with previous owners or future connections and keep tabs on the horses that come through your life.

On the flip side, the internet as a venue for buying and selling has somehow made us way more distrustful. We question everything. We sometimes veer from “healthy skepticism” to downright paranoia, especially where horses are concerned.

Fortunately, today’s “Best of Craigslist” can serve as a pathfinder to the rest of us: honesty is the best policy. When the truth is both hilarious and everything you need to know, why not put it all out there for the public to enjoy? There’s no question about this horse owner’s reason for sale:
