'Gram of the Day from @mistertheeventer: Today I learned about losing my nerve. This was the first time I was going to ride since I broke my elbow, though not the first time I'd seen Mister. I groomed and tacked up, a little slower than usual, but got it done. I had one foot in the stirrup, and I had to take it back out. My heart was pounding. I was nervous. Didn't matter that it was a different horse, or that I trusted this one so much more. I took a moment gathered myself, and got on. 10 minutes of walking later, I dismounted. 'Gram of the Day from @samijean812: Rhapsody and I put our big girl boots on today and ventured into the lower outdoor arena. There were a ton more things to look at and we took some time for some good old fashioned desensitizing. 'Gram of the Day from @meredork: I just need to take a minute to talk about this amazing mare. We went on our very first off property, “real” trail ride today and she was amazing. She was calm and collected the whole time despite the thunder in the background, the wind, the other squirrelly horses and the traffic. She saw a million new things and all she had to do was pause for a minute to take it in and she just carried on like it was no big deal. She was the leader for quite a bit of the ride, but she also just hung out at the back and moseyed along.
