Tuesday Video: Time For the Chase Scene
We don’t normally recommend chasing down your loose pony with a motor scooter, but in a high-traffic area, you gotta do what you gotta do.
When this poor rider parted ways with her Haflinger, who then went for a hot lap of the neighborhood including roadways traveled by cars and pedestrians, a kind motor scooter driver picked her up to help track her pony down.
Typically, chasing loose horses on a motorized vehicle is generally not a recipe for success. It’s a chicken-and-the-egg kind of scenario — you need to keep up with a fast-moving horse so you don’t lose him completely, but there’s also a good chance that the revving motor is one of the factors driving him to a lively canter in the first place.
But hey — you gotta do what you gotta do, and with the options before them, these two riders — one of horses, one of motor scooters — pulled off an action-packed chase scene in which everyone seemed to get the safe happy ending they so deserved.
