Performance of the Week: Kelby Phillips

This week’s featured performance stars Kelby Phillips and Duals Lucky Charm, winners of the Open Derby at the NRCHA’s Celebration of Champions!

Kelby Phillips is on top again in Fort Worth, Texas, winning the Open Derby at the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Celebration of Champions aboard Duals Lucky Charm. Duals Lucky Charm is owned by Mike and Robyne Stewart.

Phillips’ total combined score from herd work, rein work and cow work was a 444.5, giving him just a point and a half over second place (Justin Wright and Shiners Diamond Cat). While we don’t have video from Phillips’ herd work, we do have footage from his commanding performances in the rein and cow work.

Phillips and Duals Lucky Charm marked a 149.5 in the rein work:
