Grab a tissue, folks, because the story of Thunder, a beloved therapeutic riding horse who underwent colic surgery at the age of 27, just might jerk a tear or two from your eye.

Thunder is a therapeutic riding horse at Sebastian Riding Associates, having connected with and carefully carried students in southeastern Pennsylvania for over two decades. He has touched the lives of countless students and their families and is the undoubted cornerstone of the Sebastian program.

But his journey nearly came to an end three years ago when dreaded colic struck, requiring surgery. With such a special horse at stake, the staff at Sebastian Riding Associates were willing to do whatever it took to save Thunder.
