Tuesday Video: Start ‘Em Young

Cow ponies come in all sizes… and that goes for their cowgirl riders too.

Proving that size doesn’t matter, this young cowgirl — that is, Evalyn, age three — is already pushing cows like a professional, aided by her trusty steed, a miniature named Hope.

At an age where other kids are just grasping the concept of holding onto the reins or the strap on the front of the saddle so they can go into the leadline class, Evalyn is grabbing life by the horns, so to speak:

I guess to be fair, this pair is only working calves. Full-size cows might be a bit beyond the ability level here. On the other hand, with a foundation like this, we’re willing to bet Evalyn will be ready to push steers and cows in no time at all.

Start ’em young, Horse Nation. And go riding.
