World Equestrian Brands Helmet Cam: Later, Winx

What does it look like to race against Winx? Here’s the point of view from second place.

Today’s Helmet Cam features a horse and jockey who are not Winx or Hugh Bowman, and yet here we are talking about Winx anyway. What’s really left to say about Australia’s superstar mare? She’s on a 21-race winning streak and her connections are pointing her towards what could be a historic third win in the Cox Plate on Saturday, the highlight of the racing year down under.

As we wait to see if Winx will accomplish what seems both impossible and inevitable, we take a look back at this helmet cam — featuring, as we mentioned, jockey Glyn Schofield aboard Le Romain in the George Ryder Stakes earlier this year in March. So why all this talk of Winx? Watch this race and you’ll see why.
