Nacho Figueras Brings Polo (& Some Wackiness) to Ellen Degeneres Show
There’s something about Nacho Figueras that talk show people love. We’re positive it’s his domination on the polo field and great horsemanship skills and not any of his other characteristics.
Maybe on paper, Argentine polo star Nacho Figueras might have looked like he had everything: a 6-goal handicap, his own polo breeding program, a beautiful family, and yes, a modeling contract with Ralph Lauren. But as of yesterday, Figueras can finally say he’s reached the epitome of life accomplishments: he was a special guest on the Ellen Degeneres Show, bringing the world of polo to a new audience… and providing some truly memorable moments for the studio audience as well.
There was, of course, dancing…
… on tables (which made Ellen slightly nervous)…
… and then Ellen had to help Nacho dress himself…
… and then Nacho maybe overshared a little bit.
In reality, Nacho and Ellen discussed the sport of polo, his lovely (and daring) family, Nacho’s work in trying to bring polo to more people and how much they loved and respected each other. Watch the full interview:
Then, because you can’t invite Nacho Figueras onto your show and NOT play a little bit of polo, Ellen and Nacho saddled up some fake horses — for charity, of course! For every goal they made, $1,000 was donated by Ulta Beauty to breast cancer research — ultimately raising $25,000 in 30 seconds. Well done, Nacho and Ellen!
Well, if we can’t be BFFs with Nacho ourselves, this is probably the next best thing.
Go polo, and go riding.
