Tuesday Video: Horse Loves Kitten

If you’re the kind of person who tears up at animal friendships, don’t skip this video.

The horse’s upper lip does not get enough credit, in my humble and totally uncalled-for opinion. It’s the upper lip that provides the horse’s sense of “feel” when they’re investigating an object, after all, and the upper lip is a critical component of eating and grazing.

It’s also, apparently, the ultimate tool for petting a kitten.

Generally when my horses try this whole “oh, let me rub your shoulder” thing, it turns into attempted nibbling on my shoulder before I shoo them away. This horse seems to be genuinely gentle with his little feline friend, and we can almost hear the kitten purring happily away.
